Biography of Alexander Alexandrowitz Fischer von Waldheim

Alexander Alexandrowitz Fischer von Waldheim (* 20. April 1839 in Moscow; † 28. February 1920 in Sochi) was a botanist. He was 80 years old. His education included Imperial Moscow University, Medical faculty of Moscow University and University of Bonn. He worked at Lomonosov Moscow State University, University of Warsaw, Peter the Great Botanical Garden and Federal Research Center "N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources". He received 8 awards, including Commander of the Legion of Honour, Knight of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky.
