Biography of Irina Pokrovskaya

Irina Pokrovskaya (* 18. June 1902 in Oryol; † 3. May 1970 in Saint Petersburg) was a russian (Soviet) geologist and palaeobotanist. She was 67 years old. She had at least 1 child (1 daughter). She studied at Geological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University. She worked at A.P. Karpinsky Russian Geological Research Institute. She was awarded the Stalin Prize.
