Biography of Peter Ludwig Mejdell Sylow

Peter Ludwig Mejdell Sylow (* 12. December 1832 in Christiania; † 7. September 1918 in Christiania) was a norwegischer Mathematiker. He was 85 years old. His education included University of Oslo, University of Copenhagen and Oslo Cathedral School. He worked at University of Oslo and Hartvig Nissen School. His awards include Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order and honorary doctorate of the University of Copenhagen.
