Andrei Karlov (* February 4, 1954 in Moscow; † December 19, 2016 in Çankaya district) was a soviet and Russian diplomat. He was 62 years old. His education included Moscow State Institute of International Relations and Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. His faith was Eastern Orthodoxy. He was awarded the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov. His cause of death was gunshot wound. He was buried at Khimki Cemetery.
