Anne Bancroft (* September 17, 1931 in The Bronx; † June 6, 2005 in New York City) was an american actress. She was 73 years old. She was married to Mel Brooks. Her education included University of California, Los Angeles, Actors Studio, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Christopher Columbus High School and HB Studio. She received 9 awards, including Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play, Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. Her cause of death was uterine cancer. She was buried at Kensico Cemetery.
