Ba Jin (* November 25, 1904 in Chengdu; † October 17, 2005 in Shanghai) was a chinese novelist and anarchist activist. He was 100 years old. He was married to Xiao Shan. His education included Sichuan University and High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University. His faith was atheism. His awards include honorary doctor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize. His cause of death was Parkinson's disease.
