Beverly Sills (* May 25, 1929 in New York City; † July 2, 2007 in New York City) was an american operatic soprano. She was 78 years old. She was married to Peter Greenough. Her education included Erasmus Hall High School and Professional Children's School. She received 10 awards, including National Medal of Arts, National Women's Hall of Fame. Her cause of death was lung cancer. She was buried at Kensico Cemetery.
