Biography
Birgit Nilsson (* May 17, 1918 in Västra Karup; † December 25, 2005 in Bjärlöv) was a swedish opera singer. She was 87 years old. She studied at Royal Academy of Music. Her faith was Lutheranism. She received 9 awards, including Litteris et Artibus, Léonie Sonning Music Prize. She was buried at Västra Karup cemetery.
