Biography
Princess Birgitta of Sweden (* January 19, 1937 in Haga Palace; † December 4, 2024 in Mallorca) was a swedish princess (1937-2024); elder sister of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. She was 87 years old. She was married to Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern. Her education included Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences and Franska Skolan. Her faith was Lutheranism. Her awards include Grand Cross 1st class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and Knight of the Seraphim. She was buried at Kungliga begravningsplatsen.
