Bruce McCandless II (* June 8, 1937 in Boston; † December 21, 2017 in Conifer) was an american astronaut. He was 80 years old. His education included Stanford University, United States Naval Academy, Woodrow Wilson Classical High School and University of Houston–Clear Lake. His awards include NASA Space Flight Medal, United States Astronaut Hall of Fame and International Space Hall of Fame. He was buried at United States Naval Academy Cemetery.
