Chuck Close (* July 5, 1940 in Monroe; † August 19, 2021 in Oceanside) was an american artist. He was 81 years old. He was married to Sienna Shields. His education included University of Washington, Yale School of Art, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Yale University, Everett High School, University of Washington School of Art + Art History + Design and Everett Community College. His awards include Rome Prize and National Medal of Arts. His cause of death was heart failure.
