Claribel Alegría Vides (* May 12, 1924 in Estelí; † January 25, 2018 in Managua) was a nicaraguan writer. She was 93 years old. She was married to Darwin J. Flakoll. She had 4 children. She studied at George Washington University. She received 6 awards, including Neustadt International Prize for Literature, Reina Sofía Award.
