David Halberstam (* April 10, 1934 in New York City; † April 23, 2007 in Menlo Park) was an american writer, journalist, historian. He was 73 years old. He was married to Elżbieta Czyżewska. His education included Harvard University, Harvard College and Roosevelt High School. He received 5 awards, including Norman Mailer Prize, Elijah Parish Lovejoy Award. His cause of death was traffic collision. He was buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
