Dean Smith (* February 28, 1931 in Emporia; † February 7, 2015 in Chapel Hill) was an american basketball coach. He was 83 years old. His education included University of Kansas, Emporia High School and Topeka High School. He received 4 awards, including Presidential Medal of Freedom, North Carolina Award for Public Service. He was buried at Old Chapel Hill Cemetery.
