Biography
Dennis M. Ritchie (* September 9, 1941 in Bronxville; † October 12, 2011 in Berkeley Heights) was an american computer scientist, co-inventor of the Unix operating system and the C programming language. He was 70 years old. His education included Harvard University and Summit High School. He received 10 awards, including Turing Award, National Medal of Technology and Innovation. His cause of death was testicular cancer.
