Biography
Dimitris Christofias (* August 29, 1946 in Kato Dikomo; † June 21, 2019 in Nicosia New General Hospital) was a 6th President of the Republic of Cyprus. He was 72 years old. He was married to Elsi Christofias. He had 3 children. His education included Russian Academy of Sciences and Institute of Social Sciences of the CC of the CPSU. He received 7 awards, including Pushkin Medal, Gold Medal of Hellenic Parliament. His cause of death was respiratory failure.
