Her education included Chaminade-Julienne High School and Notre Dame de Namur University. Her faith was Catholic Church. She was awarded the United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights. Her cause of death was gunshot wound. She was buried at Sisters of Notre Dame Cemetery.
