Douglas Tompkins (* March 20, 1943 in Conneaut; † December 8, 2015 in Coyhaique) was an american environmentalist. He was 72 years old. He was married to Kris Tompkins and Susie Tompkins Buell. His education included Pomfret School and Indian Mountain School. He was awarded the Global Economy Prize. His cause of death was hypothermia.
