Eduardo Galeano (* September 3, 1940 in Montevideo; † April 13, 2015 in Montevideo) was an uruguayan writer and journalist. He was 74 years old. He was married to Helena Villagra. He received 5 awards, including Stig Dagerman Prize, American Book Awards. His cause of death was lung cancer.
