Ela Bhatt (* September 7, 1933 in Ahmedabad; † November 2, 2022 in Ahmedabad) was a founder of the Self-Employed Women's Association of India (SEWA). She was 89 years old. She studied at Gujarat University. She received 9 awards, including Ramon Magsaysay Award, Padma Bhushan.
