Elizabeth Catlett (* April 15, 1915 in Washington, D.C.; † April 2, 2012 in Cuernavaca) was a black American-born Mexican artist. She was 96 years old. She was married to Francisco Mora and Charles Wilbert White. Her education included Howard University, University of Iowa, Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado La Esmeralda and Dunbar High School. Her awards include Candace Award and Women's Caucus for Art Lifetime Achievement Award.
