Biography
Erwin Chargaff (* August 11, 1905 in Chernivtsi; † June 20, 2002 in New York City) was an ukrainian-born biochemist who emigrated to the United States. He was 96 years old. His education included University of Vienna and Yale University. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Great Golden Medal of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria.
