Biography
Esther Lederberg (* December 18, 1922 in The Bronx; † November 11, 2006 in Stanford) was an american microbiologist and pioneer of bacterial genetics. She was 83 years old. She was married to Joshua Lederberg. Her education included University of Wisconsin–Madison, Stanford University and Hunter College. Her cause of death was heart failure.
