Biography
Françoise Héritier (* November 15, 1934 in Veauche; † November 15, 2017 in Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital) was a french anthropologist. She was 83 years old. She was married to Michel Izard and Marc Augé. Her education included École pratique des hautes études, Lycée Fénelon, Paris and Lycée Racine. She received 5 awards, including Irène-Joliot-Curie Prize, CNRS silver medal. She was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery.
