Biography
Frank McCourt (* August 19, 1930 in Brooklyn; † July 19, 2009 in Manhattan) was an irish-American teacher and Pulitzer Prize–winning writer. He was 78 years old. His education included New York University and Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He received 4 awards, including Rome Prize, Pulitzer Prize for Biography. His cause of death was melanoma. He was buried at Great Oak Cemetery.
