Freimut Börngen (* October 17, 1930 in Halle (Saale); † June 19, 2021 in Isserstedt) was a german astronomer. He was 90 years old. His awards include Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and Order of Honour (Styria).
