George Alec Effinger (* January 10, 1947 in Cleveland; † April 27, 2002 in New Orleans) was a novelist, short story writer. He was 55 years old. He was married to Beverly K. Effinger. His education included Yale University and Bedford High School. His awards include Nebula Award for Best Novelette, Hugo Award for Best Novelette and Theodore Sturgeon Award.
