Biography
George Russell (* June 23, 1923 in Cincinnati; † July 27, 2009 in Boston) was an american pianist and composer. He was 86 years old. He was married to Annakajsa Wahlstedt. He studied at Wilberforce University. His awards include MacArthur Fellows Program, Guggenheim Fellowship and NEA Jazz Masters. His cause of death was Alzheimer's disease.
