Biography
Germaine Tillion (* May 30, 1907 in Allègre; † April 19, 2008 in Saint-Mandé) was a french anthropologist (1907 - 2008). She was 100 years old. Her education included Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales and École du Louvre. Her awards include Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Prix mondial Cino Del Duca and Franco-Arabic Friendship Award. She was buried at Panthéon.
