Harivansh Rai Bachchan (* November 27, 1907 in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh; † January 18, 2003 in New Delhi) was an indian Hindi poet, Father of Amitabh Bachchan. He was 95 years old. He was married to Teji Bachchan. He studied at St Catharine's College. His faith was Hinduism. His awards include Padma Bhushan, Sahitya Akademi Award in Hindi and Saraswati Samman.
