Biography
Hirotugu Akaike (* November 5, 1927 in Fujinomiya; † August 4, 2009 in Ibaraki Prefecture) was a japanese statistician. He was 81 years old. He studied at University of Tokyo. He received 6 awards, including Kyoto Prize in Basic Sciences, Asahi Prize. His cause of death was pneumonia.
