Hussein-Ali Montazeri (* September 22, 1922 in Najafabad; † December 20, 2009 in Qom) was an iranian Islamic theologian, Islamic democracy activist, writer and human rights activist. He was 87 years old. He was married to Mahsoltan Rabani. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His faith was Shia Islam. His cause of death was cardiovascular disease. He was buried at Fatima Masumeh Shrine.
