Biography
Irena Szewińska (* May 24, 1946 in Saint Petersburg; † June 29, 2018 in Warsaw) was a polish sprinter and sports official. She was 72 years old. She was married to Sławomir Szewiński. She had 2 children. She studied at University of Warsaw. She received 7 awards, including Officer of the Order of Polonia Restituta, Order of the Rising Sun, 3rd class. Her cause of death was breast cancer. She was buried at Powązki Military Cemetery.
