Irene Cara—Escalera (* March 18, 1959 in The Bronx; † November 25, 2022 in Largo) was an american singer and actress. She was 63 years old. She was married to Conrad Palmisano. Her education included Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and Professional Children's School. Her awards include Academy Award for Best Original Song, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Her cause of death was cardiovascular disease.
