James Whitmore (* October 1, 1921 in White Plains; † February 6, 2009 in Malibu) was an american actor. He was 87 years old. He was married to Noreen Nash and Audra Lindley. His education included Yale University, Choate Rosemary Hall, Amherst Central High School, Saybrook College and Yale College. He received 5 awards, including Theatre World Award, Tony Award for Best Newcomer. His cause of death was lung cancer.
