Biography
Jan Karski (* June 24, 1914 in Łódź; † July 13, 2000 in Washington, D.C.) was a polish World War II officer, resistance fighter and diplomat. He was 86 years old. He was married to Pola Nireńska. His education included Georgetown University, Lviv University and University of Warsaw. His faith was Catholic Church. He received 7 awards, including Presidential Medal of Freedom, Righteous Among the Nations. He was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
