Janet Frame (* August 28, 1924 in Dunedin; † January 29, 2004 in Dunedin) was a new Zealand author. She was 79 years old. She studied at University of Otago. She received 6 awards, including Order of New Zealand, honorary doctor of the University of Waikato. Her cause of death was leukemia. She was buried at Oamaru Old Cemetery.
