Biography
Jean-François Revel (* January 19, 1924 in Marseille; † April 30, 2006 in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre) was a french writer and philosopher. He was 82 years old. He was married to Yahne Le Toumelin and Claude Sarraute. His education included École Normale Supérieure, lycée du Parc and Lycée Jean-Baptiste-Say. His awards include Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic, Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry and Prix du livre politique. He was buried at Montparnasse Cemetery.
