Yelena Bonner (* February 15, 1923 in Mary; † June 18, 2011 in Boston) was a human rights activist in the former Soviet Union; wife of dissident Andrei Sakharov. She was 88 years old. She was married to Andrei Sakharov. Her education included Saint Petersburg Lyceum 239 and Saint Petersburg State University. She received 7 awards, including Order of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, 2nd class, Rafto Prize. Her cause of death was heart failure. She was buried at Vostryakovo Cemetery.
