John Jakes (* March 31, 1932 in Chicago; † March 11, 2023 in Sarasota) was an american historical novelist and fantasy writer. He was 90 years old. He had 4 children. His education included Ohio State University, DePauw University and Senn High School. He was awarded the Owen Wister Award.
