John Varley (* August 9, 1947 in Austin; † December 10, 2025 in Beaverton) was an american science fiction author. He was 78 years old. His education included Nederland High School and Michigan State University. He received 7 awards, including Nebula Award for Best Novella, Locus Award for Best Novella.
