John Young (* September 24, 1930 in San Francisco; † January 5, 2018 in Houston) was an american astronaut, naval officer, test pilot and aeronautical engineer. He was 87 years old. His education included Georgia Tech and United States Naval Test Pilot School. His awards include Patron’s Medal, National Aviation Hall of Fame and United States Astronaut Hall of Fame. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
