John Young (* 24. September 1930 in San Francisco; † 5. January 2018 in Houston) was an american astronaut, naval officer, test pilot and aeronautical engineer. He was 87 years old. His education included Georgia Tech and United States Naval Test Pilot School. He received 10 awards, including Distinguished Flying Cross, Congressional Space Medal of Honor. His cause of death was pneumonia. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
