José Giovanni (* June 22, 1923 in Paris; †April 24, 2004 in Lausanne) was a film director. He was 80 years old. His education included Collège Stanislas de Paris and Lycée Janson-de-Sailly. He was awarded the Paul Léautaud Prize. His cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage.
