José Hierro (* April 3, 1922 in Madrid; † December 20, 2002 in Madrid) was a spanish poet. He was 80 years old. He received 6 awards, including Miguel de Cervantes Prize, Princess of Asturias Literary Prize. His cause of death was pulmonary emphysema.
