Józef Szmidt (* March 28, 1935 in Miechowice; † July 29, 2024 in Zagozd) was a polish triple jumper. He was 89 years old. He received 4 awards, including Polish Sportspersonality of the Year, Work Flag Order, 1st class. His cause of death was cancer.
