Biography
Juan Antonio Samaranch (* July 17, 1920 in Barcelona; † April 21, 2010 in Barcelona) was an iOC president 1980–2001. He was 89 years old. He was married to María Teresa Salisachs. His education included University of Navarre, German School of Barcelona and IESE Business School. His faith was Catholic Church. He received 7 awards, including Collar of the Order of Isabella the Catholic, Gold Olympic Order. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Montjuïc Cemetery.
