Julia Hartwig (* August 14, 1921 in Lublin; † July 14, 2017 in Gouldsboro) was a polish poet, translator, essayist and writer. She was 95 years old. She was married to Artur Międzyrzecki. Her education included International Writing Program, University of Warsaw and John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. She received 4 awards, including Golden Medal for Merit to Culture, Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Her cause of death was cardiovascular disease. She was buried at Powązki Cemetery.
