Kamala Surayya (* March 31, 1934 in Punnayurkulam; † May 31, 2009 in Pune) was an indian author and poet. She was 75 years old. She studied at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Her faith was Islam. She was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in English. She was buried at Palayam Juma Masjid.
