Karen Black (* July 1, 1939 in Park Ridge; † August 8, 2013 in Santa Monica) was an american actress, screenwriter, singer, and songwriter. She was 74 years old. She was married to L. M. Kit Carson and Stephen Eckelberry. Her education included Maine East High School and Northwestern University. Her faith was Scientology. She was awarded the Sitges Film Festival Best Actress award. Her cause of death was periampullary cancer. She was buried at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
